Wrinkle Relaxing Treatments

Line and Wrinkle Relaxing Treatments

Line and wrinkle treatments are used to treat areas in the upper part of the face. These treatments can combat both fine lines and also deep wrinkles.

Fine lines and wrinkles across the forehead and around the eyes and mouth occur when our bodies produce less of the natural proteins collagen and elastin. These proteins are found in the skin’s connective tissue and they work to keep the skin plump and elastic, allowing the skin to move and bounce back whenever you smile, frown and make other facial expressions. When these break down and the skin’s fibres become weaker with age, the skin doesn’t bounce back and lines and wrinkles start to appear.

There are other things that can accelerate skin ageing; these include over-exposure to the sun without adequate protection, genetics, smoking and drinking alcohol. Some people are more prone to poor cell regeneration and a slowdown in the production of collagen than others, but we can all delay the signs of ageing and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles under eyes, frown lines and forehead wrinkles.

The choice and amount of solution used depends on the site and depth of treatment and requires careful consideration by your practitioner during your consultation.
At Clara Aesthetics we use Wrinkle Relaxing Treatments and Azzalure products. The treatment can be tailored to your requirements.

What does the treatment involve?

At Clara Aesthetics we use a wrinkle relaxing solution to treat frown lines between the eyebrows, horizontal forehead lines and ‘crow’s feet’ at the side of the eyes. It involves a number of small injections of minute quantities of the product into the skin and takes a few minutes. The solution reduces muscle movement in the areas treated so that the skin stops creasing, allowing the lines to soften and fade.

The treatment takes a few minutes and involves the injection of the product into the treated areas through a number of different puncture sites.

After the treatment

There is virtually no recovery time, you can resume normal activities immediately after treatment.

The treatment starts to take effect over 4-14 days and wears off after 2-6 months.
